Itinerary
The tour starts in the early morning and goes through Mumbai. Don’t worry, the guide will choose the calmest roads and the morning time is before the traffic jams and the day’s heat, and the bikes are quite comfortable. Helmets are also available on request.
First, ride through the back streets of the fort area, a business district in the heart of the city from the 18th century. After, cycle to Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, one of India’s busiest railway stations, and evaluate its breathtaking look. You may have seen this amazing building, under the protection of UNESCO, in the movie Slumdog Millionaire.
The next point of the tour is Crawford Market, where you will climb off of the bikes and have a look inside. Founded in 1871, Crawford Market embodies Gothic and Romanesque architectural style. Travelers come here to buy ripe vegetables, fresh meat, delicious imported cheese, homemade chocolate and many other goods. Then, climb back on your bikes and ride through the Kalbadevi and Bhuleshwar bazaars and stop at Bombay Panjrapole, where more than 350 cows and other animals live.
Visit the Mumbadevi Temple, where you'll learn about India's most popular religion, Hinduism, and get explanations concerning a huge number of Hindu gods. Take a nice stroll near the temple through Mumbai’s flower alley.
Finally, the famous coastal promenade bordering the Arabian Sea, the Marine Drive, awaits. Your guide bets you will remember this peaceful view for the rest of life.
The bike tour ends with Beautiful Memory
